HIPAA & Data Security

Made Care Services LLC is committed to protecting the privacy,
confidentiality, and security of all client information in accordance with
the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)
and all applicable privacy and confidentiality standards.


Caregivers are required to protect all client information obtained during
the course of employment. All information, whether verbal, written,
electronic, visual, or observed during services, must be treated as strictly
confidential.

Confidential information includes, but is not limited to:

  • Client names, addresses, phone numbers, and emergency contacts
  • Medical conditions or health-related information
  • Care plans, medications, schedules, and daily routines
  • Personal, financial, or family information
  • Photographs, videos, audio recordings, or digital records involving
    clients

 

Client information may only be accessed, discussed, documented, or
shared with authorized individuals directly involved in the client’s care or
agency operations.


Caregivers are strictly prohibited from:

  • Sharing client information with unauthorized individuals
  • Discussing clients in public places or around unauthorized persons
  • Posting client-related information, photos, videos, or stories on social
    media
  • Taking unauthorized photographs, videos, or recordings of clients
  • Leaving client documents, schedules, or electronic records
    unsecured
  • Using personal devices to store, transmit, or distribute confidential
    client information without agency authorization

All caregivers are expected to maintain professionalism, discretion, and
confidentiality at all times, both during and outside of working hours.
Confidentiality obligations remain in effect even after employment with
Made Care Services LLC has ended.
